It’s always wonderful to get together with some of the smartest (and nicest!) merchants in the industry.
At this fall’s Forum meeting, graciously hosted by the Levy family of Oak Hall Memphis (in its 6th generation!), store owners exchanged ideas for jumpstarting sales, shared best practices, visited Oak Hall’s new store in Nashville and re-told the history of the group. (According to Forum historian Bob White, the only store member of the original group and celebrating its 100th year in business, it all started in the 1940s when retailers shared ideas–and bourbon–on the cross-county train to NYC.)
Our Memphis restaurant recommends: River Oaks and Porcellino Craft Butcher– exceptional food, wine, and camaraderie. Thank you Oak Hall for a fabulous few days!
