Sean John has licensed Evy of California for children’s apparel. The boys’ and girls’ collections will launch for spring 2016.

The deal marks the brand’s firsSean Johnt collection for girls. The company explained in a statement: “Since entering the children’s market in 2000, Sean John saw a huge potential for growth with vigorous sales of the Sean John boy’s collection, making it a natural progression to enter into the girl’s market and will include collections for Tweens and their younger sisters.”

“I am very excited to announce our new partnership with Evy for our childrenswear category,” commented Sean John founder Sean “Diddy” Combs added. “They are truly experts in the arena and this deal will allow the Sean John brand to continue its successful growth strategy. As the conception of this collection stems from the inspiration of Jessie, D’Lila, and Chance, I am beyond thrilled to work with my girls on this new endeavor and I look forward in watching them grow with this project.”

Privately held Sean John was founded in 1998 by musician Sean “Diddy” Combs as a men’s sportswear brand. The company says its annual sales in the U.S. are over $525 million.
