Sears Names J. Miles Reidy CFO
HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. – Sears Holding Corporation has named J. Miles Reidy as the retailer’s new chief financial officer. Reidy has been CFO for Capital One Financial Corporation’s credit card division and more recently its financial cost executive reporting to the chief risk officer. Reidy will report to William C. Crowley, Sears’ executive vice president, chief administrative officer. Crowley, who is also a member of Sears Holdings’ board of directors, has been the company’s interim CFO.
Crowley said in a statement: “Miles has built and led highly quantitative, analytical finance organizations. We have asked Miles to bring to Sears Holdings this rigorous approach to testing and creating value through data-driven decisions.”
Sears, the U.S.’s fourth largest retailer, operates 3,800 stores in the U.S. and Canada.
