Local government officials and dignitaries celebrated the ground breaking of the new Simon Denver Premium Outlets in Thornton, Colorado.
Denver Premium Outlets, slated to open in fall 2018, will offer a mix of product categories found in Simon Premium Outlets around the country, including fashion clothing and accessories, athletic, outdoor and fitness footwear and apparel, quick service and sit down dining options, home furnishings, electronics, and much more in a 330,000 square-foot open air center.
Located at the intersection of Interstate 25 and 136 Avenue, Denver Premium Outlets will provide a premier outlet open air center experience featuring around 80 high-quality designer and name-brand retailers.
“We chose this location due to the tremendous development, economic and population growth that Thornton and the Denver metro area is currently experiencing. We have enjoyed a terrific partnership with the City and are looking forward to becoming a part of the Thornton community,” said Stephen Yalof, CEO of Simon Premium Outlets. “Designed to fit in with Colorado’s unique, outdoor-oriented lifestyle, Denver Premium Outlets will serve the Greater Denver area, providing great brands, dining and shopping for residents and visitors alike.”
“The City of Thornton is thrilled to welcome Colorado’s only Premium Outlets development,” added Heidi Williams, Mayor of Thornton. “Simon’s chosen location for this project reflects the site’s superior attributes for retail development. Positioned in the heart of Thornton’s development boom, there are over $350 million in projects currently under construction within one mile of the future Denver Premium Outlets. We are looking forward to a strong partnership with Simon Premium Outlets for many years to come.”
Denver Premium Outlets will be the 92nd Premium Outlets center in Simon’s portfolio, generating more than 500 construction jobs and around 700 full and part-time jobs.
