SOLIOS RAINFOREST CURVE EDITION WATCH MOVES TO SAVE THE RAINFOREST WITH SOLAR POWER

by John Russel Jones

Stores looking for sustainable accessories for their environmentally conscious clientele may want to check out this collection of solar-powered watches. Solios, has just launched a new model, The Rainforest Curve Edition, which replaces the need for 20 disposable batteries and uses certified recycled stainless steel for a luxe look. The invisible solar panel coupled with Solios’s partnership with The Rainforest Trust, means one watch equates to the protection of one acre of rainforest.

The new Curve model features a number of enhancements to Solios’ original design: The crown has been moved from the 3 o’clock to the 4 o’clock position to improve the symmetry of the watch and make it easier to adjust when wearing, and a second hand (not included in the original design) has been added, as has a circular date window. We like this literally green model, featuring an emerald face and matching vegan leather band with a rose gold case. MSRP: $345. For more information, see Solios Watches.
