SPRAYGROUND DROPS SCARFACE CAPSULE COLLECTION

by John Russel Jones

Sprayground has joined forces with Universal Products & Experiences to commemorate the legendary gangster film Scarface through an exclusive two-piece capsule collection.

The collection includes two backpacks, each adorned with graphics from the movie and showcasing Al Pacino’s iconic Tony Montana character. Both radiate luxury with a lavish gold frame graphic and meticulous detailing, as well as gold zippers and Sprayground’s iconic shark mouth. These bags are essential collectibles for Scarface aficionados, Pacino fans, and Sprayground enthusiasts.

The collaboration pays homage to the legendary character Pacino portrayed in the 1983 American mobster film from Universal Pictures. The pieces merge Sprayground’s cutting-edge design with the cult-classic appeal of Scarface, resulting in an artificially created masterpiece that fuses urban street style and iconic cinematic history.

The movie, directed by Brian DePalma and written by Oliver Stone, is based on the 1932 film of the same name and loosely based on the life of Al Capone. In this version, the tale begins in the spring of 1980 after the port at Cuba’s Mariel Harbor was opened, and thousands of refugees seeking a respite from the Castro regime set sail for the United States in search of the American Dream. This fictional story is about one of them who found it on the sun-washed avenues of Miami… wealth, power, and passion beyond his wildest dreams.

The exclusive Scarface backpacks will be available online at sprayground.com
and select boutiques worldwide this month.
