SUNSPEL OPENS FLAGSHIP STORE ON JERMYN ST OFFERING BESPOKE T-SHIRT SERVICE

British luxury brand Sunspel, known for its timeless design and fabric innovation, is pleased to announce the opening of its flagship store at 23 Jermyn Street in London and the launch of its Bespoke T-shirt service.

Exclusive to the new Jermyn St store, the Bespoke T-shirt service allows customers to create a unique T-shirt, drawing on the brand’s rich T-shirt-making heritage, which dates back to the early 1900s. Crafted from Sunspel’s selection of the world’s finest fabrics, each will be expertly cut and tailored to the customer’s exact specifications in the brand’s Long Eaton factory—Sunspel’s home since 1937—using knowledge, skills and expertise that have been passed down through generations. The program extends a service the brand has long offered celebrities, stylists, and costume designers, including Charlie Watts of the Rolling Stones and Daniel Craig’s James Bond.

The new two-story Jermyn Street store will also host a brand exhibition that showcases Sunspel’s rich history from its roots in Nottingham in 1860 to the present day. Featuring rare artifacts from Sunspel’s extensive archive, including original cellular mesh underwear and Sea Island cotton T-shirts from the early 1900s, the exhibition tells the story of the brand’s fabric innovation and enduring commitment to quality and excellence. In addition, the space will serve as a venue for community events and personal styling appointments.

The store features a selection of British-designed furniture curated by TwentytwentyOne. This includes iconic ‘Kingston’ chairs by William Plunkett, a mid-century design staple, and a Loop Coffee Table by renowned contemporary designers Barber Osgerby, which was produced by Isokon Plus, a British manufacturer with a legacy dating back to the 1930s.
