TAYLOR STITCH LAUNCHES THE PARTY WAVE COLLECTION WITH MAGICSEAWEED & TY WILLIAMS

by John Russel Jones

Taylor Stitch, is proud to announce an exclusive new capsule collaboration which launched on Friday, February 10th. The brand’s journey has roots stretching from California to Maine, including those that sink deep in surfing and surf culture (co-founder Mikey Armenta still hits the waves on a daily basis). A new eight-piece capsule (available exclusively at Taylor Stitch while supplies last) was developed to celebrate all things surf, from East Coast to West. The brand has partnered with surf forecast authority magicseaweed and its long-time brand friend/fellow surfer Ty Williams. Drawing inspiration from good times, big waves, and their collective team’s Atlantic-Pacific cross-collaboration dubbing the capsule The Party Wave Collection was a natural fit.

“We really wanted to capture both the essence of the sport and the greater surf lifestyle, so having the right partners on board here was crucial. We grew up with magicseaweed and Surfline as go-to resources for checking forecasts at all our favorite spots & we’re all such huge fans of Ty’s work. Bringing everyone together for a super unique project like this just made perfect sense,” says Mikey Armenta, Taylor Stitch Co-Founder.

Magicseaweed is a trusted surf forecast resource for millions of surfers and ocean enthusiasts. Whether you’re a traveling pro, big wave aficionado, local hero, or weekend warrior, magicseaweed’s forecast will help you score more of the right waves, at the right time, anywhere in the world.

“Magicseaweed is all about helping everyone find the right waves at the right time, anywhere in the world. Taylor Stitch is known for making hard-wearing surf gear, so this collaboration was a natural fit,” says Lincoln Eather, Gear Guy at magicseaweed.”From his home in Maine, Ty Williams is a surfer and artist who thrives in cold water – who loves getting out amongst the elements. We’re fans of his work and stoked to work together on a project like this.”

With a breadth of influences ranging from global folk art to Matisse, Ty William’s work is uniquely his own. Capturing his singular perspective on nature, surf culture, and everything beautiful about the ever-changing environments of his traveling life. With it, he reminds us to not take things so seriously and to (as one must when riding the swell) go with the flow.

Using Taylor Stitch’s meticulously crafted menswear as a canvas for his art, Ty helped the brands create some of their favorite gear to date. A proverbial raised glass rendered in textiles to the easy-going, fun-loving vibes of surf culture and all that it’s done to shape collective identities.

Prices range from $50 – $168 retail and include woven flannels, pants, utility shirts, and T-shirts.
