THE NORMAL BRAND LANDS IN NASHVILLE
The Normal Brand has opened its second brand store at Fifth + Broadway in the heart of downtown Nashville, Tennessee.
For brothers (and Normal Brand owners) Jimmy, Lan, and Conrad Sansone, the move to Nashville was a natural landing spot for the brand’s store expansion. In fact, Music City is home to three of the brother’s other siblings including Nikko Sansone of the Sandeema Company who found the retail space. (And, to keep it further in the family, the Sansone matriarch, Kathryn Sansone, just so happens to lead store design for the brand.)
“Nashville offered everything we were looking for when seeking the right landing spot for The Normal Brand’s second brand store,” said Conrad Sansone, principal at The Normal Brand. “Our stores are experiential, driven towards our customers having a good time, being greeted with a warm smile, a cold beverage, and some unexpected surprises. Fifth + Broadway was the perfect place for that, and will allow for us to build authentic connections with locals and visitors alike, and further familiarity with our style and brand.”
Seeking an alternative to popular trends of branded apparel at the time, Jimmy Sansone originally started The Normal Brand in 2015, selecting a bear as its brand mark, a more rugged and rustic alternative that paired well with its elevated and versatile style. Jimmy’s brothers Lan and Conrad joined soon after to aid in running and expanding the company.
With the deep family connections to Nashville, including sister Sophia in the music industry, The Normal Brand recently partnered with Luke Combs to sell a special edition hat which raised $125,000 to support small businesses during the pandemic.
The company opened its first brand store in 2019 in its hometown of St. Louis, Missouri. Highly sought after, The Normal Brand’s apparel can be found in 500 retail stores across the United States.
