THOM BROWNE INTRODUCES CHILDRENSWEAR
Thom Browne introduced his first childrenswear collection this weekend with images and a special film by Cass Bird. In classic tailoring and brogues, the children type, tap, snack, and spin, following their own routine.
Thom Browne childrenswear features signature styles of the same make and quality as all of the designer’s adult collections, from tailoring to knits to footwear. The essentials that define Thom Browne continue to be the basis for the childrenswear collection. Uniform pieces from the adult wardrobe, now in miniature, include the medium grey Super 120s wool twill suit, Chesterfield overcoat with velvet top collar, classic cardigan with four-bar, and the white classic Oxford shirt.
Beyond that, there are the “Friday uniform” pieces such as the navy Super 120s twill sport coat with gold buttons and the university stripe grosgrain armband shirt with a round collar.
Additional styles include classic sweats with four-bar in loopback jersey, and further exploration into down archetypes with a ripstop vest and puffer jacket with four-bar.
The collection is now available in Thom Browne stores globally and on thombrowne.com.
Oh yeah! Real nice.
I wonder what sort of school Mr. Browne invisions for these children. Especially in “uniforms” most adults couldn’t afford.
Just sayin’ LOL!
