TOMMY BAHAMA CELEBRATES TWICE
Seattle-based island lifestyle brand Tommy Bahama was just named to Newsweek‘s 2022 “America’s Best Customer Service” list and is also due to be featured in the new James Bond film No Time to Die. Priding itself on exceptional customer service through a distinctive brand experience, the company was among the first to offer product extensions beyond apparel including upscale island-inspired restaurants.
The prestigious customer service award is presented by Newsweek and ranking provider Statista Inc. A total of 160,000 customer evaluations were collected, providing info about brick & mortar, online retailers, and service providers from 161 categories. Tommy Bahama was ranked first in customer service in the apparel category. “For Tommy Bahama, this is the highest honor we could receive,” said CEO Doug Wood. “We strive every day to exceed our guests’ expectations, in all facets of the brand but especially in customer service. We talk every day about the importance of delighting our guests, but it’s our people in the field who make it happen.”
As for Daniel Craig’s James Bond appearing in No Time to Die wearing a black silk Tommy Bahama shirt, can you think of much better press than that? In this scene from the film, Bond is enjoying some downtime in Jamaica right before he’s convinced to come out of retirement. The movie is slated for release this week after being held up for nearly two years due to COVID. For James Bond wannabees, the shirt is currently available online.
