VILEBREQUIN TO UNVEIL NEW SPORTSWEAR COLLECTION AT THE TENTS AT PROJECT
French luxury brand Vilebrequin will unveil its full spring/summer ‘18 sportswear collection at the Tents at Project in New York, which will run from Sunday, July 16 through Tuesday, July 18 at the Jacob Javits Center.
Best known for its patterned swimwear, the company was launched in the 1970s by Fred Prysquel. It currently sells its products at 26 of its own retail stores in the United States, major retailers such as Bloomingdale’s and Saks Fifth Avenue, and numerous luxury hotels around the world.
In addition to the company’s signature swimwear and polos, the new collection, which features a variety of men’s, women’s and children’s items, includes tees, button-down shirts, shorts, denim twill pants and outwerwear, all made of top-level materials and featuring smart details like the company’s “V” symbol. Prices will range from $150 to $795.
“The expansion into the ready to wear and sportswear arena is an important area of growth for Vilebrequin,” said Roland Herlory, CEO of Vilebrequin. “Our brand’s ethos mimics the easy, laid-back lifestyle of living at the beach and we embody that spirit in this development. We believe that this brand-expansion should be done naturally to ensure its success and stay consistent with Vilebrequin’s mission – to create beautiful beach essentials for men, women and children.”
