[metaslider id=113949] Connecticut-based lifestyle brand Vineyard Vines has opened its New York City flagship store at Grand Central Terminal. The 6,000-square-foot store, which is adjacent to Banana Republic, faces East 42nd Street and flanks the east side of Vanderbilt Hall.

In addition to offering a wide selection of apparel and accessories for men, women, and children, the store features custom Grand Central specific product, which includes Shep Shirts for men, boys and women. The brand’s co-founders, Shep and Ian Murray, used to commute through Grand Central Station every day to their financial jobs in downtown New York before they started the company in 1998.

The store will be have an interactive digital mirror: a touch-activated 55″ screen that allows shoppers to take a vineyard vines-branded selfie and then enhance their photo by adding playful digital elements and branding to create a more immersive memento that can easily be shared with friends and family before they leave the store.

In addition, the Grand Central shop features a 3′ x 1′ digital array of LCD screens throughout the store to tell the vineyard vines brand story and highlight the “Every Day Should Feel This Good” lifestyle, which is the company’s motto.
