WILL SMITH LAUNCHES BEL-AIR ATHLETICS COLLECTION

Actor, producer, and musician Will Smith is releasing his latest merchandise drop, entitled Bel-Air Athletics.

On sale at shop.willsmith.com starting October 1st and running for just two weeks through October 14th, the limited collection features 26 new items including unisex apparel, two women’s specific pieces, three youth pieces, and a range of accessories. Every item in the collection is either limited-edition or made-to-order so that no excess inventory will be produced and nothing will go to waste.

Bel-Air Athletics is the second limited collection Smith has dropped this year, as part of his burgeoning Fresh Prince brand. Channeling Will Smith’s indelible influence on fashion and culture in the 1980s and ’90s, Bel-Air Athletics brings the unique creative spirit of The Fresh Prince into the current day. Bel-Air Athletics is part of Westbrook Inc., Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith’s newly launched holding company that was formed to execute the Smith family’s global content and commerce businesses.

Referencing the iconic series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Bel-Air Athletics is grounded in the rebellion and individuality that Smith’s character embodied on the show.

Key pieces include the Reversible Academy Track Jacket, inspired by Smith’s school uniform blazer that he famously wore inside out, exposing the colorful paisley lining; a heat-reactive tie-dye t-shirt with a graphic of Smith as a throwback basketball star that changes color with body heat; UV-reactive t-shirts that feature Smith wearing a basketball jersey that changes from white (home) to yellow (away) when exposed to sunlight; and a capsule of Bel-Air Athletics team gear including t-shirts, hoodies, and matching shorts.
