Lubiam, the Italian tailored clothing maker, has named Marc Spero as its new VP of operations for the North American market. Spero spent 18 years of his career at the Italian trouser company Zanella, most recently as VP of sales. He will report to Lubiam’s director of worldwide exports, Andrea Benedini.
“I am very proud to announce that Lubiam hired Marc Spero as our new vice president of operations,” said Benedini in a statement. “We were successful in our search to find the best possible candidate to enable Lubiam to become an important player in the North America menswear market.”
Louis Costa, Lubiam’s VP of sales and managing director for the U.S. for the last eight years, left the company in June for a position at Swedish shirtmaker Eton.
Lubiam markets men’s tailored clothing under the Luigi Bianchi Mantova and L.B.M. 1911 labels. The company was founded in 1911 and continues to be run by the fourth generation of the family.
