APOLIS TO OPEN POP-UP SHOP IN BROOKLYN’S WYTHE HOTEL
Los Angeles-based lifestyle brand Apolis will open a three-month pop-up boutique at the Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on Thursday, May 19. It will remain on site through August 17.
The Wythe location, which is open to the public as well as hotel guests, carries the largest assortment of Apolis product on the East Coast, including a special “Brooklyn” version of its popular “Market Bag,” a reusable jute shopping bag produced in rural Bangladesh by a small cooperative of women artisans.
“The Wythe helped transformed a neighborhood and created an anchor for community and creativity in Williamsburg. It’s the same kind of spirit that animates Apolis,” said the company’s co-founder and creative director, Raan Parton. “We are psyched that the hotel has welcomed Apolis as its temporary home, where we will offer our contemporary apparel and accessories that have been ethically sourced and beautifully-crafted.”
“Apolis has grown up in Los Angeles, but we’ve been looking to showcase the full range of our brand on the East Coast,” added Shea Parton, Raan’s brother and Apolis co-founder and CEO. “We’ve long admired the Wythe as a trailblazer and trend maker and are pumped to plant our flag, albeit temporarily, in Brooklyn.”
Past residencies at the Wythe include A.P.C., Marlow Goods and Fellow Barber.
