apple watchesApple has announced the release of the Apple Watch Series 2, including special collaborations with Nike and Hermes.

The Apple Watch Series 2 has a new dual-core processor. It is rated water resistant 50 meters for swimming and surfing, and can count laps, track average lap pace and accurately measure calorie burn. The new Series 2 also features a built-in GPS that records precise distance, pace and speed for outdoor workouts without needing an iPhone, among other feature. The new series delivers stronger graphics performance and features a dramatically brighter display. There are numerous new watch faces available, as well as new band colors, and lightweight aluminum or stainless steel cases.

The Apple Watch Nike+ is integrated with the newly introduced Nike+ Run Club App, making it ideal for those with a passion for running. The app offers daily motivation through smart run reminders, challenges from friends, and weather alerts. In addition, training data, such as pace, distance and heart rate, are available at a glance.

The Apple Watch Hermes is available with finely handcrafted leather bands in styles from Hermes, and features exclusive watch face designs inspired by the iconic Clipper, Cape Cod, and Espace Hermes models. Its newest style is the Double Buck Cuff in Swift and Epsom calfskin leathers, inspired by the archetypal Hermes sandal design by Pierre Hardy, the company’s creative director of shoes and jewelry.

“We are thrilled with the response to Apple Watch and how it has changed people’s lives,” said Jeff Williams, Apple’s chief operating officer. “We are committed to fitness and health and think our customers will love the new capabilities of Apple Watch Series 2.”

Prices for the Apple Watch 2 series begin at $369.
