ASICS TO DEBUT FUZEX COLLECTION IN FEBRUARY

ASICS Corporation has unveiled fuzeX, a new collection of running footwear and apparel, which will hit the U.S. market on February 1. The fuzeX footwear collection features fuzeGel, a new proprietary lightweight midsole. In addition, fuzeX shoes feature an 8mm heel drop and molded engineered mesh upper to give runners support while retaining overall lightweight.

There is also includes a range of coordinating, lightweight apparel for men and women, similarly designed for protection and versatility; highlights include the new fuzeX Mesh Mix tank, the fuzeX long sleeve top with a stylish open back, the fuzeX split short with enhanced freedom of movement, and the fuzeX 4″ knit short.

“We recognize that runners today are looking for versatility, comfort and design in their footwear and apparel,” said ASICS’ Gerald Klein. “By bringing together cutting-edge technology with minimalist design, ASICS hopes that fuzeX will make running even more accessible and enjoyable.”

From February 1 through 15, consumers will be encouraged through social media to head to an ASICS retail location to try on a pair of fuzeX shoes, upload a “shoefie” to Instagram or Twitter, and complete the caption “fuzeX shoes will take me____” paired with the #fuzeXplore hashtag for a chance to win a pair of fuzeX shoes – and a grand prize trip to anywhere in the world you want to run. Contest winners will be announced on February 22.
