Paris-based luxury menswear brand Berluti has officially confirmed the appointment of Haider Ackermann as its new creative director. He replaces Alessandro Sartori, who returned to Ermenegildo Zegna following the departure of Stefano Pilati earlier this year.

The appointment is effective immediately and Ackermann will present his first collection during Paris Men’s Fashion Week in January 2017.

“I am very happy to welcome Haider at Berluti, his talent and creative commitment makes him the perfect choice for this position. I am sure that his vision will bring a unique opportunity to Berluti,” said Antoine Arnault, chief executive officer of Berluti.

“I am very honored to join Berluti,” added Ackermann. “This house stands for the essence of luxury menswear and embracing this new adventure inspires me.”
