Bloomingdale’s joins New York City as it welcomes WorldPride and celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising with the debut of the latest rendition of The Carousel @Bloomingdale’s: Pride for All.

The Carousel is a rotating pop-up shop driven by culturally relevant themes with merchandise hand-selected by guest curators and brought to life with activations and events. This time around the retailer has partnered with the editor-in-chief of Out Magazine, Phillip Picardi, to curate an assortment of products that capture the spirit and history of pride as well as offer a series of events and in-store experiences geared at celebration and inclusion.

“It was such an honor to partner with one of the most iconic shopping destinations in the world, Bloomingdale’s, to curate a shop that celebrates LGBTQ+ people,” says Picardi. “I’m even more excited that, for the occasion, Bloomingdale’s is using its influence in the fashion industry to spotlight up-and-coming queer design talent, like Patrick Church or Chromat. I hope there will be something for shoppers to discover not just for Pride, but for all year round.”

Picardi helped source and curate special inclusive and forward-thinking labels including Chromat- a swim line featuring body positive and queer friendly aesthetics, Phluid Project- an inclusive t-shirt collection for gender non-conforming customers and Patrick Church hand painted leather jackets, to name a few. The shop also features exclusive Housing Works x Opening Ceremony t-shirts that feature logos from some of the most iconic gay nightlife institutions including Uncle Charlie’s Downtown, Meow Mix Bar, Paradise Garage and The Saint. The assortment comes together in Bloomingdale’s signature combination of fashion, style and cultural relevance mixed with an element of fun.

Shoppers who visit the Pride for All shop will see this continued celebration through visuals that draw inspiration from the LGBTQ+ rainbow flag, a symbol of a diverse community. The shop references this inspiration through product groupings by color while showcasing fashion finds for Pride and beyond. This array of color comes to life with women’s Nike windbreakers in blue & pink, a yellow sequin Halston Heritage sequin sleeveless dress, color blocked Beach Riot bathing suits, and a green classically-cool Champion sweatshirt.

The men’s selection includes an exclusive Original Penguin floral short sleeve button down shirt and rainbow tank top, a pink Iceberg Pink Panther t-shirt, as well as a blue Stain Shade blue tie-die hoodie. Rainbow Happy Socks and Calvin Klein underwear, Formula Z lip gloss, purple Birkenstocks, Bauble Bar rainbow crystal earrings, pink and blue AQUA bucket hats, and Crazy Baby wireless headphones round out the selection. Pride For All is also proud to offer headbands, belt bags and bandannas by Echo, an official partner of WorldPride.

To celebrate Pride for All, Bloomingdale’s will host an array of events throughout May and June. On May 29th, Picardi will host a launch party that takes inspiration from LGBTQ+ bars in NYC and be an evening of bright colors, dance party pop classics and popsicle cocktails.
