CERRUTI 1881 PARTS WAYS WITH ITS CHIEF CREATIVE OFFICER

by Stephen Garner

French luxury brand Cerruti 1881, and its Hong Kong-based parent company Trinity Group, has parted ways with its chief creative officer Jason Basmajian.

“The group thanks Jason for his contribution to the evolution of the house in facing the challenges of new retail and the new expectations of customers, especially in Greater China, where the brand is strongly established with more than 80 shops physical and digital,” said Trinity Group in a statement.

Moving forward, Cerruti 1881 will enter the next decade with a further rejuvenated positioning, to further broaden its appeal to the global millennial consumer. The spring/summer 2020 collection will reflect this move; colorful and relaxed, inspired by the archive pieces of the Maison’s founder Nino Cerruti. In one word: contemporary, while faithful to its roots.

The Maison will continue the creation of future collections in the Cerruti Studio in Paris, relying on a talented team of designers.
