Sperry invented the world’s first boat shoe, and Sunspel invented the world’s first cotton T-shirt. Now the two brands have created a one-of-a-kind boat shoe where English heritage meets an American classic. Each shoe is hand-made in Maine with premium, top-quality leathers and suedes from a world-class, family-owned tannery. Details include leather welting, perforated lining, beefroll stitching, Vibram outsoles, an embossed Sperry x Sunspel logo, and Sperry’s Razor-Cut Wave-Siping technology for traction. Limited quantities are available in three colorways – navy, tan, and chocolate brown.

“Both Sperry and Sunspel share a unique place in fashion history, and this partnership represents a collaboration between two great heritage brands. We’re thrilled to partner with Sunspel, and draw on decades of craftsmanship to create beautiful, artisanal shoes that are sure to become future classics,” says Sean McDowell, VP of Product, Sperry.
“Sunspel and Sperry are both unique heritage brands, with craftsmanship at their core. Our factory in England remains central to everything we do so we are always looking to work with other specialists in their field, to learn from another and partner on a new product. It was a joy to work with Sperry’s factory in Maine and see the similarities between both brands — from the innovation of our factories to the skilled and dedicated craftspeople. The perfect combination of the iconic boat shoe, the finest materials, and the expertise of the factory has resulted in a timeless summer shoe.” – David Telfer, Creative Director, Sunspel.
