DIOR REVEALS WINTER MEN’S CAMPAIGN

by Stephen Garner

Dior has released its winter 2020/2021 menswear collection and campaign by artistic director Kim Jones.

Featuring a video filmed by Benn Northover and still images by Steven Meisel – the new campaign captures the duality channeled by Jones, who took inspiration from the couture heritage defined by Monsieur Dior and the punk signature of British stylist and designer Judy Blame.

“I loved the show we did to celebrate Judy Blame and wanted to highlight the couture aspects of the collection by recreating the set for the shoot,” Jones points out.

Amid the bold accessories, sharp tailoring and exquisite embellishment testifying to the House’s savoir-faire excellence. Opera gloves complete each look, along with the Saddle and Soft Saddle bags, the latter a hobo version of the House icon, the new double pochette with shoulder strap that redefines the Saddle’s curves, to boots that revisit the “Jodhpur” style.
