DIPLOMACY WORLDWIDE MAKES DEPARTMENT STORE DEBUT AT MACY’S

Premium streetwear from Diplomacy Worldwide has debuted inside of Macy’s Herald Square ‘The Park’ concept shop.

The Park will showcase key pieces from Diplomacy’s 2019 “Streetwear Punk” collection, including statement tees, manifesto hoodies, and “pandaflage-lined” reversible trench coats, and has already been worn by NBA stars Serge Ibaka of the Toronto Raptors and Mike Conley of the Utah Jazz along with super-producer London On Da Track.

Eric Archibald, the brand’s creative director, has been working in the streetwear business since 1994 and is thrilled to see Diplomacy’s launch at Macy’s. “As a New York-based brand we are excited to make our department store debut as an integral part of the iconic evolution of Macy’s Herald Square,” Archibald said. “We love the colorful, fashion-forward, and edgy selection of Diplomacy styles that Macy’s has curated that will mark the beginning of a longstanding and successful retail partnership”

“When I first met Eric, I was blown away by his ability to connect the dots across trends, both high and low, and to interpret that sensibility into a collection,” added Durand Guion, VP of Macy’s Fashion Office. “I’m really proud of the work he’s done with the brand and we are eagerly anticipating Diplomacy hitting the sales floor at Macy’s.”

Macy’s new 14,500 square-foot main floor experience aims to serve as a lifestyle hotspot for the fashion-conscious, urban customer to be inspired and discover new brands and fashion in a trendy setting. The Park is a 4,500 square-foot hub within the experience that features on-trend men’s fashion and completely refreshes every eight to 12 weeks. The Park provides shoppers the opportunity to build outfits from head-to-toe across apparel, accessories, shoes, and more.
