More than ever, it seems that the U.S. is obsessed with ethics, accountability, and social responsibility. The 2016 election has generated a host of rapid-fire—and incredibly passionate—public accusations labeling candidates as criminal, crooked, dangerous, and ignorant. All demonstrate the American public’s demand for transparency and accountability from their leaders. But can the same be said for the U.S. business community? I’d like to think that ethical fashion isn’t a passing trend. As Americans become more informed on the terrible true cost of fast fashion I don’t think the $7 tshirts will seem quite as appealing. There are a lot more ethical fashion brands out there and the choices are greatly improving.
