FASHION VETERAN VINCE GONZALES UNVEILS THE G-SPOT

by John Russel Jones

Vince Gonzales will unveil The G-Spot, a new concept for fashion wholesale and retail in the downtown Los Angeles Arts District.

“No one is doing this here,” Gonzales says. “There are fewer directional boutiques for a fashion town like L.A. The G Spot is giving something Los Angeles is missing. It’s a full platform that offers wholesale, retail, and pop-up for a brand to introduce to an audience of tastemakers, then later a wider audience of consumers.”

The “G” in this concept’s moniker references Gonzales’s surname. It will offer fashion showroom services, a retail storefront, an event space, as well as a pop-up gallery for vintage denim, Aloha shirts, and dresses. The G-Spot’s storefront will be an addition to Arts District’s fashion and culture landmarks. Neighbors include Apple Studios and Warner Music Group. Boutiques for the burgeoning district include Revolve.com, Dover Street Market, Adidas, and Chinese fast fashion brand Shein.

Born and raised in East Los Angeles, Gonzales has long operated at the leading edge of fashion. He was among the founding consultants for pioneering forums such as the Project Trade Show. He also worked as a ubiquitous brand architect in the premium denim market. Gonzales introduced international brands such as Evisu, Meltin’ Pot, and Blue Blood to the U.S. He also helped reintroduce iconic mod brand Ben Sherman to America. Gonzales has searched the world to find unique and innovative product. He has worked in countries as diverse as Japan, Italy, Germany, and United Kingdom.

Inaugural Showroom Mix At The G-Spot

The G-Spot’s inaugural showroom brand mix starts with footwear. The anchor brand will be DIS Shoes, a made-to-order footwear platform headquartered in Le Marche, Italy. DIS Shoes allows consumers to design their own sneakers and dress footwear on a 3D configurator or design system.

DIS Shoes are manufactured in 15 business days. DIS Shoes’ made-to-order platform allows retailers to sell shoes virtually without inventory. Other brands represented will be MJ Gonzales, Agnes B Homme, Stitch’s iconic corduroys, Steve Sotnick accessories, Artsphere bags, Serge Blanco, Fear of Broke, and private label Pima cotton socks.

Consulting Services

Gonzales will also serve as a consultant in sales, marketing, product branding, and brand development in contemporary, designer, luxury, footwear, and accessories.
