British lifestyle brand Fred Perry has teamed up with designers Sam Lambert and Shaka Maidoh of Art Comes First (ACF) on a new capsule collection. The first collaboration starts with the Fred Perry shirt and expands into subverted takes of the harrington jacket and track jacket from the Fred Perry archives.
Made in two monochrome colorways, the shirt features an embroidered Laurel Wreath in a contrasting color with the ACF label stitched underneath. The harrington has a smart flat knit rib collar, while inside, an unexpected ACF print demonstrates the quiet punk influence on the design duo, while the track jacket is interpreted to echo ACF’s punk aesthetic. Both have a specially made ACF and Laurel Wreath tab in khaki on the sleeve.
Art Comes First is driven by the meeting of style and subculture. Self-proclaimed ‘traveling tailors,’ Art Comes First shares Fred Perry’s admiration of craftsmanship and strive to create pieces that inspire and look to the future.
The collection is now available online at fredperry.com.
