HAGGAR KICKS-OFF THIRD ANNUAL HALL OF FAME DADS CONTEST
Haggar Clothing Co. is kicking off its third annual Haggar Hall of Fame Dads contest to recognize and celebrate America’s great dads and father figures.
Wives, children, friends and other loved ones can submit stories, photos and videos to show why the dad or father figure in their lives deserves recognition as a Hall of Fame Dad. The men’s clothing company is accepting nominations through April 30th at www.haggar.com/HOFDad.
One outstanding dad will be chosen from each of the 50 United States and will win a Haggar wardrobe including a custom Haggar Hall of Fame Dads blazer. In addition, a grand prize winner will be named the national Haggar Hall of Fame Dad and win a once-in-a-lifetime VIP trip to the Pro Football Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony in Canton, Ohio, in August. The person who nominates the national winner will also receive a $5,000 cash prize as a thank you for sharing their Hall of Fame Dad story.
“Each year, we’ve received thousands of heartfelt entries that are a testament to the influence that great dads and father figures have on the lives of those around them. These dads lift up their families and communities,” said Michael Stitt, CEO of Haggar Clothing Co. “As we embark on our third annual Haggar Hall of Fame Dads contest, we look forward to hearing more of these extraordinary stories and honoring more amazing dads.”
Last year’s national Hall of Fame Dad was high school history teacher and football coach Richard Grace of Tularosa, New Mexico. He was nominated by his daughter, Kaytlin Grace, who wrote in her winning nomination, “We always like to say my dad has two daughters and 50 sons. … You see, my dad is a high school football coach.” She went on to say that he serves as not only a dedicated and loving father to her but also a strong father figure for his team.
During the contest, visitors to Haggar’s website can read and watch stories like Grace’s and vote for their favorite dads to help choose the grand prize winner. The panel of judges includes 2020 Honorary Hall of Fame Dad J-Si Chavez of the nationally syndicated The Kidd Kraddick Morning Show, who said, “I am honored to be this year’s Honorary Hall of Fame Dad and share the opportunity to celebrate these great dads across the nation.”
The 2020 Hall of Fame Dads winners will be announced in June, just in time for Father’s Day.
