HASPEL TEAMS UP WITH NOLA COUTURE ON ACCESSORY CAPSULE

by Stephen Garner

Two native New Orleans brands have joined forces on the release of a capsule accessory collection paying tribute to all things Louisiana.

American tailored clothing brand Haspel has teamed up with accessories company NOLA Couture on a line of colorful silk ties, bow ties, and pocket squares featuring some of Louisiana’s favorite things like sugarcane, pelicans, catfish, the “Cajun Holy Trinity”, magnolias, iris, and strawberry prints. Pocket squares retail for $35, bow ties for $55, and neckties for $65.

The 18-piece collection is inspired by Louisiana but designed to coordinate with Haspel seersucker suits; each color—cayenne red, lavender, light blue, yellow, navy, and pink—ties back to the core colors of the Haspel seersucker collection.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with NOLA Couture on this unique collection,” said Laurie Haspel, president and fourth-generation owner of Haspel. “Our brands share the same raison d’être at their core—to honor Louisiana culture and style through great design and to have a ‘damn good’ time wearing it.”

“Haspel is an iconic Louisiana brand,” added Cecile Hardy, owner and creator of NOLA Couture. “We loved working with them to create a collection where the colors were inspired by their beautiful array of seersucker colors and the designs inspired by Louisiana’s natural habitat. I think it’s one of our best collections yet.”

The collection is now available online at haspel.com and nolacouture.com. It can also be found at NOLA Couture’s French Quarter and Magazine Street locations as well as the newly-opened New Orleans International Airport location.
