J BRAND DEBUTS COLLECTION WITH ANTONI POROWSKI
J Brand has teamed up with Queer Eye’s Emmy-nominated food and wine host Antoni Porowski on a new collaboration.
The 10-piece sustainably-minded capsule collection comprises six pant styles, a leather trucker, a bomber jacket, and two graphic t-shirts.
As a true organic fan of the brand, Porowski has been wearing J Brand in his personal life, to red carpets, and press events for several years. The partnership initially evolved over Instagram after first connecting over Porowski’s love for J Brand’s Mick Skinny Fit and leather pieces.
Porowski was involved in the design process from inspiration through execution—all of the denim and leather styles, donned The Modern Skinny, are inspired by his favorite J Brand fit, the Mick, which he updated with a slightly higher rise and slimmer leg opening. The collection is rounded out with pieces he’s long coveted for his wardrobe – a fashion-forward pleated trouser, vintage-inspired bomber jacket, a leather trucker, and graphic tees featuring some of Porowski’s clever one-liners.
“Leave it to me to launch a capsule collection with J Brand during a global pandemic where most of us have nowhere to be but home on the couch, but here we are,” said Porowski. “Fortunately, these pieces – like my go-to skinny silhouette in three classic denim washes and my matching leather pant and jacket getup (naturally) – are as classic as mozzarella sticks and timeless enough to last beyond the days of social distancing and sourdough starters. As a longtime J Brand fan, I’m excited to launch this collaboration with my favorite denim brand filled with staples I love and that I hope you will too.”
All denim styles are washed with J Brand’s proprietary water-saving Eco Wash process, which uses an average of 90 percent less water in the wash process. Additional styles utilize recycled thread, premium organic cotton, and responsibly sourced leather.
Porowski’s collection, which retails between $128 and $1,128, is now available online and at Bloomingdale’s as part of the fall 2020 collection.
