Contemporary men’s sportswear brand Zachary Prell has named Colin McNair as vice president of Design, effective immediately. In this newly-created role, McNair will oversee the overall creative direction and product development initiatives of the company, and will also be responsible for designing and executing all of the brand’s seasonal men’s collections.

Most recently, McNair, 10-year-veteran of John Varvatos, held the position of senior design sector at that company, where he was responsible for the concept, color, and fabrication of the brand’s second line, John Varvatos USA.

“Colin brings tremendous design acumen, key supplier relationships and fabric expertise across the sportswear, furnishings and tailored clothing market segments and has experience successfully building design, technical design and product development teams,” says Prell. “I’ve enjoyed getting to know Colin and have been impressed by his loyalty, integrity and ability to create compelling on-trend collections in an ever-evolving menswear market.”

Adds McNair, “The brand is on a great trajectory and I’m looking forward to this unique opportunity to lead the Company’s creative direction and collaborate with the entire Zachary Prell team.”

The brand is available in about 200 points of distribution throughout the United States, including Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s and Saks Fifth Avenue as well as leading specialty retailers such as Boyds in Philadelphia, Garys in Newport Beach, CA and Garmany in Red Bank, New Jersey.
