K-SWISS TO LAUNCH SECOND OF THREE COLLABORATIONS WITH MCCLAREN RACING
Just like other professional athletes, Formula 1 racing drivers seem to be getting just as much attention for their winning style as for their championship-winning speed and technique these days. Lando Norris, above, is the McLaren Racing winner of last week’s Miami Grand Prix, and has been making the rounds of the celebrity tabloids, flashing lots of bling, all with a fashion model on his arm. Keeping pace with the trend, heritage tennis brand K-Swiss has a multi-year partnership with the renowned F1 team McLaren Racing. The duo launched its second collaborative collection last Friday. The capsule includes two new styles, the Aero-Active x McLaren and the Si-18 Premier, each based on K-Swiss legacy designs, but updated with McLaren’s signature racing colors and details.
The Aero-Active (retailing for $120) is a performance shoe (recently spotted on White Lotus star Lukas Gage) incorporating breathability and moisture management coupled with high rebound foam and padded lining on the tongue, heel, and collar to ensure maximum comfort, available in snow white and red.
In 1989, the K-Swiss Si-18 Premier debuted as the most technological tennis shoe on the market, only a year after the McLaren MP4/4 dominated Formula 1 racing, winning all but one race in the World Championship. The Si-18 Premier x McLaren (retailing for $140) features premium leather and suede overlays in a red-and-white color combination and subtle MP4/4 branding. It celebrates the team’s most legendary era, making it a collector’s item for any McLaren Formula 1 fan.
The K-Swiss x McLaren collection sells at Kswiss.com, McLaren.com, and at select retailers.
