Kitsuné x NBA

Kitsuné x NBAAfter making its U.S. comeback last September with the opening of its NYC flagship store on Lafayette Street, Kitsuné has teamed up with the National Basketball Association (NBA) on a new collection.

For its first-ever collaboration with the league, Kitsuné taps into its roots to bring the world of fashion, music, and sports together. Celebrating these roots, co-founders and creative directors Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki, have unveiled an NBA-inspired ready-to-wear capsule collection, music compilation, and North American tour.

The collection will consist of 15 unisex sporty designs made in Japan. Inspired by outdoor basketball courts, the collection unites the world of fashion and basketball with the inclusion of streetwear influences and silhouettes.

Kitsuné x NBASome highlights of the collection include an all-over printed grey mélange cotton T-shirt featuring the NBA’s 30 team logos, a contrasting patchwork cotton shirt, a grey coach jacket, and a stand out black bleached denim western jacket, all adorned with the collaboration logos.

For the collaboration logos, the NBA’s red, white, and blue iconic logoman will appear in black and white, while Kitsuné’s logo is revamped using the NBA’s taller, leaner typeface.

The Kitsuné x NBA collaboration will launch on Saturday, February 17 to coincide with NBA All-Star weekend taking place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
