LA FASHION WEEK ANNOUNCES DATES, PARTNERS, DESIGNERS, FOR OCTOBER EVENT
Los Angeles Fashion Week (LAFW) has announced its lineup of official partners for this year’s event. Taking place in Hollywood at NYA Studios, October 18-22, this season’s theme is “Empowering Designers, Empowering Dreams.” The event, under the leadership of N4XT Experiences, transcends the conventional fashion week concept, blending fashion, beauty, technology, and sustainability, with inclusivity at its core. This season’s LAFW partners include Lancôme, SAP SE, SAP.iO, De Beers Group, Citi, %Arabica, and PATH, with official media partner The Los Angeles Times and hospitality partner Dream Hollywood.
This season LAFW will introduce a concept from N4XT Experiences, Beautylab, a physical installation showcasing the latest advancements in beauty technology and sustainability in collaboration with Lancôme. This season also sees the introduction of the SAP SE Experience, an immersive and interactive tent that will be part of the overall programming. This state-of-the-art experience will include four designers each day showcasing their unique designs with the ability to allow attendees to select designs and leave with their unique designer LAFW collection and merchandise. LAFW 2023 will also feature cutting-edge, immersive digital showcases, like those presented by SAP.iO with strategic partners BigThinx, who will create virtual fashion experiences, as well as Obsess, which will activate with Antoine Gregory, Founder of Black Fashion Fair and Brand Director at Theophilio, and additional designers.
Designers and brands showing this season include Imitation of Christ (opening the event), Theophilio, Luis De Javier, Sergio Hudson, BruceGlen, Neon Cowboys, Advisry, TOMBOGO, Demobaza, Sami Miro Vintage, and No Sesso (as the closing runway show). Additionally, SAINTWOODS will be orchestrating the LA nightlife scene, completing LAFW’s schedule by hosting the official afterparty.
In conjunction with LAFW, N4XT Experiences is thrilled to introduce LAFW Society (LAFWS), the organization’s philanthropic arm. Certified as a 501c3 non-profit, LAFWS is dedicated to supporting emerging talent and creatives to bring their visions to life and is a testament to the organization’s commitment to making a meaningful impact within the industry. To celebrate its launch, LAFW Society will host an intimate cocktail reception on the eve of LAFW, Wednesday, October 18th, as the official kick-off celebration of the week with the opportunity for industry experts, creators, and supporters to come together and learn more about this incredible initiative that the N4XT Experiences team is bringing to their community.
The event calendar, officially recognized by the Council of Fashion Designers of America, will be released shortly, with more designer announcements to follow.
