LA JOLLA GROUP INKS DEAL TO BRING BACK RETRO HANG TEN APPAREL
Active lifestyle apparel company La Jolla Group has partnered with surf-inspired brand Hang Ten as its U.S. clothing licensee. The first collection debuted in Urban Outfitters stores in May, with an exclusive 12 sku assortment of retro Hang Ten product capitalizing on the 70’s fashion trend.
“This long term license agreement to manufacture men’s and women’s Hang Ten apparel rounds out our portfolio of brands at La Jolla Group, and positions us well in the marketplace,” said Daniel Neukomm, CEO of La Jolla Group. “With La Jolla Group’s sophisticated operating system and talented teams of design, sales and marketing professionals, it was a seamless transition to integrate Hang Ten into our business.”
Hang Ten is an iconic brand with rich history, offering modern surf products inspired by the original Hang Ten label of the 60’s and 70’s. The apparel line pays homage to the classic styles that made it famous. The brand is authentic to the California lifestyle – radiating a fun, free-spirited coastal attitude.
“This partnership allows us to reinvigorate the Hang Ten brand while remaining true to our heritage and inherently Californian DNA,” said Marc Setton, CEO of Hang Ten. “It’s an opportunity to expand our footprint and further our messaging of originality and authenticity.”
