LUXURY SUITING BRAND MUSIKA OPENS NEW YORK FLAGSHIP ATELIER

Luxury men’s suiting brand Musika has opened its new showroom.

The new space, located on the second floor of 234 W. 30th Street, focuses on the full bespoke experience in which customers can purchase their complete wardrobe from formal to business to luxurious casualwear.

The showroom aesthetic was inspired by one of Musika’s regular patrons, luxury furniture designer Eric Chang (Hellman Chang) and his influence can be felt throughout the space. Not only does the showroom feature original furniture pieces from Chang’s highly-coveted line, but Chang’s influence was strongly felt in the showroom layout – the flow of furniture and workspaces throughout, as well as within the functional elements such as the clothing display racks and the marquee wall. The space also pays homage to Musika founder and designer Aleks Musika’s love of basketball, with a mounted hoop for customers to use and relax during their one-on-one appointment.

If customers wish to stay home due to the pandemic, the brand is offering a new service that uses high-resolution, close-up photo scanning technology to convey fabric quality. Digital renderings of the garment also help the remote customer understand color combinations, texture, and proportions, as well as illustrating the integration of the garment with other items in the wardrobe. With the help of a spouse or friend, a customer can even be measured remotely with guidance over video from Aleks. While this ability has proven extremely useful during the pandemic, Aleks anticipates that many customers outside of New York and the U.S. will benefit from this service once the pandemic is over.

Musika’s New York showroom is now open for one-on-one appointments.
