Kicking off Art Basel in Miami this season, luxury travel and accessories brand MCM threw an exclusive house party to launch its new collaboration with Berlin’s König Souvenir, “The Magical Memory World Tour Collection”, on Wednesday, December 6 at the Sun Path House in Miami Beach.

Not your typical house party, art, fashion and music collided for the occasion, with a VIP guest list including Young Paris, DJ Dixon, Johann Koenig, David Mallon, Elizabeth Kurpis, Sung Joo Kim, Corey Shapiro and more. Guests previewed the collection and an art installation inspired by the collaboration while enjoying handmade pizzas and special house party musical performance by European DJs Pandoras Jukebox (Yasmina Dexter) and Esben Weile.

König Souvenir is a project by Souvenir and König Galerie inspired by travel and the globalization of contemporary art. The designs take cues from the pragmatic yet sometimes strange aesthetics of international air travel and art handling, adorning classic MCM accessories with ropes, straps, tags, chains, carabiners, key rings, buckles, and barcodes. A green-and-white color scheme draws from boarding passes and security labels, providing a bold visual contrast to MCM’s classic cognac Visetos canvas.

The König Souvenir x MCM limited edition capsule consists of six styles of the iconic MCM cognac monogram collection re-imagined by König Souvenir. Each piece within the collection is completed with an indestructible König Souvenir strap, the collection’s signature that turns each accessory into a chic statement piece and an ultra-durable travel companion.
