NEW BALANCE UNVEILS 009 SNEAKER

[metaslider id=112428] New Balance unveiled its new 009 silhouette on Thursday, June 2 at Soho House, followed by a concert at Studio 450, in New York City.

New Balance’s new 009 model, which retails for $109.95, borrows classic details from the brand’s heritage 998 and 999 silhouettes and infuses them with new technology to deliver a modern style. The brand utilized pressure mapping to create a dual density midsole for an ultra-comfortable sole unit. The shoe also features a neoprene foam package on the collar that is contoured based on the wearer’s ankle.

Additionally, to celebrate the July 1 official release, the brand, in collaboration with experiential collective Neighborhood Watch, is hosting a series of global music events in New York, Berlin, Seoul and Los Angeles that will highlight street and music culture in each region, as well as showcase the new model. Last night’s New York event included performances by local artists Stonie Blue, Masego, Cyber69, K$ACE, and Chargaux.
