Agentry PR will launch the 12th bi-annual menswear New York Men’s Day (NYMD) collective presentations, to kick off NYFW: Men’s in conjunction with women’s Resort scheduled for June 3, 2019. Taking place ahead of London, Milan, and Paris Men’s Fashion week, NYMD will be held at a brand new home in Daylight Studios and Location 05, right next to the newly-opened Hudson Yards in the west side of Manhattan between Chelsea and Midtown.

Conceived to nurture emerging talent and to consolidate top menswear designers in an easy-to-view venue, NYMD will feature collections from nine emerging designers for the spring/summer 2020 season.

For the first time ever, NYMD will debut its All Stars Showcase where previous NYMD alumni will present three spring/summer 2020 looks as a sneak peek for the season ahead. Sperry, the American footwear brand returns as a sponsor and will be showcasing highlights from its spring/summer ‘20 collections featuring signature styles like the Authentic Original boat shoes and the CVO deck sneaker. Master Session Hairstylist Joseph DiMaggio will lead the hair team with Hattori Hanzo Shears and Professional by Fama providing products and team members; and Augment and Make-Up Pro will collaborate to provide make-up teams and products for designers to use on models during their respective presentations.

At NYMD, each participating fashion brand will present its spring/summer 2020 collection in its own individual studio space designed to highlight the label’s identity and inspiration. Taking place simultaneously over two-hour periods, five designers will present in the morning and four in the late afternoon. The format of showcasing five presentations at the same time creates ease-of-flow for media and buyers, allowing them to move through studios and spend time with designers as their time allows.

Participating designers include Abysm, Amirok, David Hart, Feign, Ka Wa Key, TANAKA, Timo Weiland, Todd Hessert, and Vasilis Loizides.

The new NYMD All Stars Showcase will include Descendant of Thieves, Krammer & Stoudt, Lucio Castro, Private Policy, Wood House Army.

“I’m super excited to be announcing some changes and debuts for New York Men’s Day for our 12th season,” said Erin Hawker, founder of Agentry PR and NYMD. “We are thrilled to be taking over two photo studios over two floors to present NYMD at a new location this June. We wanted to move our dates to June ahead of London, Milan, and Paris Men’s Fashion Week to provide an opportunity for buyers, stylists, and media to see the collections before they head over to Europe. Conveniently located by the newly opened Hudson Yards, this space provides over 15,000 square feet of white space to breathe fresh air to NYMD.  While continuing our mission of providing a platform emerging designers and brands, we are also excited to debut the return of some NYMD alumni with an all stars showcase in one studio to serve as a sneak peek to their spring/summer 2020 collections.”
