ORLEBAR BROWN RETURNS WITH THIRD JAMES BOND COLLECTION

by Stephen Garner

Following two successful exclusive collaboration collections with Eon Productions, Orlebar Brown returns with its third ode to James Bond’s iconic style.

The collection delves back into Eon Production’s heritage archive to take inspiration from more of James Bond’s most recognizable looks with a focus firmly on resort. A selection of key items have been reimagined in an Orlebar Brown way; focusing on linen as one of the brand’s hero fabrics, the pieces are designed with desert island getaways in mind.

Highlights of the collection include a linen summer suit inspired by one worn by Bond in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, a short-sleeved Thunderball gingham shirt with signature cotton toweling lining, classic Thunderball stripe shirt, and Dr No. photographic print shorts featuring original film poster artwork.

The collection’s corresponding campaign was shot by Bond photographer Greg Williams at GoldenEye in Jamaica, the boutique island resort and home to the iconic Fleming Villa where Ian Fleming wrote the original 13 James Bond novels, including Casino Royale and Dr No. The shoot also captured Laughing Waters, where the iconic scene of Honey Ryder emerging from the sea in Dr. No was set.

The collection, which retails between $145 and $525, is now available in Orlebar Brown stores, orlebarbrown.com, and selected stockists worldwide.
