ORLEBAR BROWN TO RELEASE NEW SPORTS COLLECTION

by Stephen Garner

Orlebar Brown will drop a new sports collection in a monochromatic palette of obsidian black and grey mélange later this month.

Dubbed OB Black, the British menswear brand has blended functional design with its signature refined tailoring to launch its own take on athleisure.

Sport iterations of the bestselling mid-length Bulldog swim shorts, long-sleeved OB-T, Sebastian polo shirt have been given a high-tech makeover, featuring bonded ‘no-sew’ seams with PU seal tape that give a clean and modern aesthetic. The pieces are finished with reflective branding and tonal buttons or zips.

Coordinating sweats in classic silhouettes comprise of a three-piece set including sweatpants, a crewneck sweatshirt, and funnel-neck pullover. As carbon black as the volcanic sands of Hawaii’s Punalu’u beach, outerwear options include a lightweight water-resistant cagoule jacket and gilet to keep you dry from ocean spray. Both feature secure zip pockets and applied piped tape for reinforcement at the seams.

The OB Black capsule collection signifies a new direction for the brand, with its “Feel Summer” ethos is usually associated with vibrant colorful collections and beachy photographic prints.

OB Black collection will launch on September 25th at Orlebar Brown stores, orlebarbrown.com, and selected retailers globally.
