On Thursday night, Outerknown co-founders Kelly Slater and John Moore were joined by guests including Chris Martin, Buzz Aldrin, Oliver Hudson, Luke Hemsworth, Levi’s president James “JC” Curleigh, and more to celebrate the launch of the new S.E.A Jeans collection at an intimate party with iconic retailer Ron Herman at his store on Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles.

The men’s floor was transformed into a blue oasis, featuring exclusive campaign imagery shot by photographer Todd Glaser in Hawaii with the North Shore Watermen. Guests mingled to tunes spun by DJ Keith Kandell and a special musical performance by Citizen Cope while sipping on specialty Casamigos cocktails, House Beer, and catering by Gjusta. Attendees enjoyed West + Wilder wines – a small wine company with big world values, producing bright crisp canned wines, inspired by the West Coast. VIP transportation was provided for the evening by Tesla.

As part of the Outerknown S.E.A. program (Social Environmental Accountability), for the first time the brand launched the new S.E.A. Jeans in three styles (mid-rise, slim flit, full-cut) that are cut from European-milled organic cotton. A leader in sustainable manufacturing, Outerknown is using 100 percent organic cotton from two of the best mills in the world (Candiani & ISKO) and working with the cleanest denim factory (Saitex, based in Vietnam) with the intention to be fully transparent from the field, to the mill, to the factory and ultimately, to the customer.

Taking its commitment to sustainability one-step further, Outerknown is backing the new collection with a lifetime guarantee: they will repair or replace damaged jeans (customers simply pay for shipping fees), and will take in old pairs to upcycle – no more landfills!
