Pitti Immagine is moving ahead with its plans to return to in-person shows this summer.

The Italian trade show organizers announced on Monday the dates for this summer’s slate of shows beginning with Pitti Uomo, which will take place June 15th-17th at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence. Pitti Bimbo, Taste, Filati, Fragranze, and Super will follow suit through the summer.

Raffaello Napoleone, the CEO of Pitti Immagine, says that the organization has now opened registration for the summer cycle, in order to give its exhibitors ample time to make their plans. “Between now and summer, we will carefully follow the evolution of the health situation,” said Napoleone. “We will act promptly whatever the circumstances,” acknowledging that he will adjust the schedule as needed.

Agostino Poletto, general manager of Pitti Immagine, noted that the organization has decided to reduce Pitti Uomo from four to three days. This move was made in order to accommodate requests from exhibitors wishing to save on expenses.

Poletto also mentioned Pitti’s plans on maintaining safety at the show. “The organizational and safety plan for the Fortezza da Basso, as well as the other venues, has been prepared – it was actually already sorted – and we are coordinating with all the institutional subjects (City Council, Regional administration, Ministries) and private entities (carriers, airports, stations, hotels, etc.) involved in the overall fair activities,” Poletto said. “The entire summer cycle will be characterized by a strong integration between the physical and digital format, in an attempt to take advantage of all the opportunities of amplitude and depth of the service they offer.”
