RAY-BAN CELEBRATES THE COLORS OF LIFE WITH AN EXCLUSIVE DAY OF THE DEAD STYLE

by John Russel Jones

Today, Ray-Ban launches a new style exclusively to celebrate Mexican culture: Wayfarer x Día de Muertos. Alejandra Ballesteros, a Mexican artist, helped deliver colorful, vivid, and authentic imagery to the campaign.
The limited-edition design maintains the classic silhouette of a Wayfarer while featuring Calaverita de Azúcar, the “sugar skull” on the temple tip, and graphic orange and purple on the temple interior. The two colors are inspired by papel picado, “perforated paper.” These design elements are key components used to adorn traditional altars and streets throughout the world on November 2nd.
The special edition packaging represents the sugar skull wearing the iconic Wayfarer style as well as classic details of Mexican iconography such as pan de muerto and cempasúchil flowers. These festive frames are available to shop now at Ray-Ban.com for $163.
