RETAILMENOT ANNOUNCES DAYLIGHT SAVINGS SHOPPING EVENT
The case to eliminate all this “Spring Forward/Fall Back” nonsense once and for all is gaining ground (the last time we skipped it was during the 1973-74 OPEC oil embargo), but with the jump to Daylight Savings Time almost upon us, online discounts site RetailMeNot is sponsoring its first-ever shopping event just in time for our lost hour of sleep.
According to the site, one in three consumers say they are more inclined to shop with longer days and more sunlight. The nine-day Daylight Savings Event, March 12 through March 20 will offer a wide variety of exclusive coupons, deals and cashback offers at top stores in categories ranging from fashion to electronics to travel. RetailMeNot will also pay anyone who creates an account and uses a qualifying offer during the event an extra dollar.

Hundreds of offers will be available starting March 12 from participating brands and retailers from Adidas and Aeropostale to Vince Cameo and Vineyard Vines. Participating department stores include Belk, Bloomingdale’s, Kohl’s, and Macy’s, as well as Saks Off Fifth.
