Menswear industry veteran Richard Cohen has resigned from his position as Trinity Ltd.’s chief executive officer and executive director, effective June 4, and will take on other retail-related projects for Trinity’s parent company Fung Group.

With over 40 years of experience in the apparel industry, Cohen joined Trinity in May 2014 as CEO and was later appointed executive director, in addition to his title, in August 2014. He served on the worldwide executive committee of Ermenegildo Zegna Corp where he was president and CEO for North America for 16 years until 2004. He was also a senior executive with the Burberry Group wholesale and retail team in the United States during the 1980s. Prior to joining the Trinity, Cohen served as SVP of Business Development at Saks Fifth Avenue.

As a result of Cohen’s resignation, the company has appointed Jeremy Paul Egerton Hobbins as his successor, effective on June 4. Hobbins is currently a director of various companies within the Fung Group, including Fung Holdings Limited, and a non-executive director of Convenience Retail Asia Limited. Hobbins joined the Fung Group in 1999 as group managing director of Fung Retailing Limited, and previously served as deputy chairman of Fung Distribution International Limited. Prior to joining the Fung Group, Hobbins held several management positions at a variety of companies including Inchcape Marketing & Buying Services, Campbell Soup Company, Ault Foods, and Proctor & Gamble.

“The company would like to express its gratitude to Mr. Cohen for his service to the group and welcome Mr. Hobbins to join the Board,” said Victor Fung Kwok King, chairman of the board.
