Global retail real estate company Simon has enlisted leading New York City market makers Urbanspace to open a new holiday market inside the iconic Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, NY.

The festive marketplace, called The Holiday Market by Urbanspace, will showcase beautiful, handmade gifts from local artisans, and will offer an eclectic and personalized shopping experience to complement the broad offering available at Long Island’s largest mall.

The market will be home to twelve independent merchants. Some participating vendors include: men’s accessory boutique The Lodge; the New York Puzzle Company; jewelry boutique Ambica New York; and Boston-based cheeky 3-D card company Lovepop.

“We’ve had such a fantastic experience collaborating with Simon to mount the first installment of The Holiday Market by Urbanspace,” said Emily Soukas, project manager at Urbanspace. “It’s been a wonderful challenge to seek out and secure artisans that will delight and inspire holiday shoppers at Roosevelt Field.”

“This is another example of how Simon finds a place and space for every retailer, from well-known luxury to lifestyle to emerging brands,” added Zach Beloff, director of business development and leasing for Simon. “The agility that Urbanspace provides with its market concept means that we can bring retailers into Roosevelt Field where they immediately benefit from the high volume of customers who routinely shop there. Likewise, our shoppers get to see and experience unexpected brands that they might otherwise never come in contact with, so everyone benefits.”

The Holiday Market by Urbanspace at Roosevelt Field will be open from November 25 through December 24 and is located in the North Court on the main level. The market hours will follow regular mall operations.
