Montreal-based luxury outerwear company Rudsak has opened its first flagship location in New York City. This opening marks the brand’s first foray into the U.S. retail market, as well as its international expansion.

The brand’s 1,996 square-foot store is located in the Luxury Plaza at the new Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards. The entrance, off of 10th Avenue, welcomes customers to a modern and nature-inspired space designed by KCG Architects. The use of noble materials such as wood and marble highlight the brand’s luxury products and their link to natural elements in which they exist as outerwear. At the center of the store, a rotating structure acts as the centerpiece where the latest styles of the season will be featured.

“New York City was a natural choice as the location for the first international Rudsak store because the city’s ethos is the nearest and dearest to ours,” said Evik Asatoorian, founder of Rudsak. “New Yorkers have a get-out-there and get-things-done vibe that is paralleled by the style in which they do it. Our outerwear and clothes help you get out there and get it done in style.”

Celebrating Rudsak’s new home, the brand has enlisted a diverse set of New York City locals for their #OuterMost campaign to showcase how they each express their unique style through their outer most expressions of self. Influencers Coco & Breezy, artist Juno Shen, renowned photographer Greg Swales and Asatoorian will be featured as part of this campaign and in the store throughout the next five months to showcase their individual stories. Shen has also created a new neon art installation for Rudsak that consumers will be able to enter to win as part of the store’s opening week contest.
