SPRINGFIELD MEETS SAN FRANCISCO: LEVI’S TO LAUNCH SIMPSONS COLLAB

by Christopher Blomquist

Two long-running American classics have paired up for Levi’s latest collaborative capsule, which will drop on March 3.

The denim giant has teamed with the 30+-year-old animated show The Simpsons to create a 24-piece streetwear inspired collection that has retro elements and features key Simpsons characters such as Bart, Lisa and Millhouse

The spring/summer 2022 apparel pieces include a pale indigo Levi’s trucker jacket with a graphic of Bart drinking a Squishee on the back and a reversible puffer vest with a cloud print on one side (a nod to the show’s opening credits) and The Simpsons yellow on the other. There’s also a mix of school-inspired styles including a ringer tee, a riff on a letterman sweatshirt and a vintage school uniform-inspired wide wale yellow corduroy jacket and pants. Tees, hoodies and crew neck sweatshirts round out the collection along with accessories such as an allover print bucket hat, embroidered beanies and a sling bag.

Prices will range from $30 to $148.

It’s not the firsts time The Simpsons has collaborated with a fashion brand. Last October a Simpsons/Balenciaga short film was a huge hit at Paris Fashion Week. The show has also released prior collections with Vans, Kith and Adidas.
