The Stylish Guy’s Answer To Shorts This Season
Staying comfortable when it’s hot out is imperative, especially when your agenda for the day involves some type of errand running or outdoor trekking. But the gigantic cargo shorts favored by practical dads and “I don’t care about clothes” guys everywhere are not good for business either. That’s where spring’s easygoing, boxer-style shorts come in. Finished with an elasticated or drawstring waist, printed in interesting colors and patterns, and landing at that flattering sweet spot between the kneecap and the thigh, these shorts look sharp and are supremely comfortable at the same time. Miuccia Prada showed them in a sporty and futuristic context on the runway (see above) but you can, “wear them for off-the-clock drinks with a tucked-in shirt and polished brogues” just the same, advises Mr Porter. Bonus points if you aren’t one of those guys who tends to skip out on leg day at the gym, and if you’ve got some Shia LaBeouf-like thigh tattoos just low enough to poke through. See more at GQ.
